FRIGATE BERGAMINI IN TANZANIA

In the framework of Atalanta Mission, Frigate Bergamini has arrived yesterday in Tanzania. A briefing by Captain Moro was held today on the ship to Tanzanian Military and Navy forces, EU Ambassadors and Atalanta Mission representatives. It was a great opportunity for exchanging information and having a discussion on common strategies against illicit trafficking of narcotics and human beings. Frigate Bergamini presence helped in promoting Italy in Tanzania and will further improve bilateral ties also in defense sector and in that cooperation of knowledge that is very important in a Country of high vitality like Tanzania. Ambassador Marco Lombardi, in thanking the Military Attaché, Commander Mario De Rosa, for his factual contribution to this operation, has underlined that Italy attaches great importance to bilateral cooperation with Tanzania in all sectors and also in the one of defense. For this reason, Frigate Bergamini presence, he continued, provides a great opportunity to show to Tanzanian friends what kind of partnership Italy can provide to Tanzania a country that for geographical position and robust economic growth, is continuing to improve his role in the Region.
