Welcome to the section dedicated to consular services.
To facilitate navigation, we have divided the various services offered into two sections: those for Italian citizens and those for foreign citizens.
Each menu item contains useful information to request specific services.
A specific item concerns publications that are posted on the consular register.
Consular services must be booked with the new online portal Prenot@mi, available at https://prenotami.esteri.it, after registration.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! The website is currently being updated. Therefore, for any information regarding visa applications for entry into Italy, please consult the “Visa for Italy” portal.
Due to the high number of applications, applicants are encouraged to ascertain the availability of an appointment at least 60 days prior to scheduled departure, whenever possible.
In order to ensure proper handling of the visa application, the office requires 15 working days to process the documentation after submission.
In cases of proven and documented urgency, a request can be sent to cons.dar@esteri.it, attaching the supporting documentation.
Please find attached below the required documentation for visa application. We reiterate that the office only accepts complete documentation and that, on the day of the appointment, you must bring with you the booking confirmation receipt.
