On the occasion of the first evening of the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF), on July 21st, the movie of the Italian director, Nino Tropiano, ” Samira’s dream” was presented. Italian participation to ZIFF was made possible by the contribution of the Embassy of Italy in Dar es Salaam. The film, entirely produced in Italy, is talking about gender equality and the role of working women in nowdays Zanzibar society.
“Samira’ s dream” was already displayed at the Rome Independent Film Festival, Dublin International Film Festival, the Pan African Festival in Los Angeles and the Africa section of the Cannes Film Festival .
