On 24 February 2025, the Ambassador Giuseppe Coppola presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Union of the Comoros, H.E. Azali Assoumani. In the conversation following the ceremony, held in Moroni, possible initiatives were discussed to further strengthen the already excellent relations between Italy and the Comoros, in areas of common interest.
During the visit to the Comoros Islands, Ambassador Coppola, together with Honorary Vice Consul Saverio Grillone, met with the Minister of Energy, Water and Hydrocarbons, H.E. Aboubacar Said Anli, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Handicrafts, H.E. Daniel Ali Bandar and the Minister of Environment, H.E. Aboubacar Ben Mahmoud.
