Ambassador Giuseppe Coppola presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The new Italian Ambassador to Tanzania, Giuseppe Sean Coppola, presented his Letters of Credence today to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan. During the cordial meeting during the ceremony, President Samia expressed her hope for a further strengthening of the already excellent relations between our two countries, particularly emphasizing the economic and commercial dimensions and encouraging increased investment from Italian companies.

Recalling Italy’s priority focus on relations with Africa, Ambassador Coppola assured that he would work to strengthen the partnership between Italy and Tanzania in all areas of common interest, including political, economic, commercial and cultural sectors. He also highlighted that the relations between Italy and Tanzania are enriched by a dynamic network of contacts at the level of the private sector and civil society, which have been developing over time since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1961.
