FRECCIAROSSA DISCOUNT
FOR ITALIANS RESIDING ABROAD
Trenitalia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will provide a discount for the benefit of Italians registered with A.I.R.E.
The aim of this discount is to offer Italian citizens residing abroad who will travel in Italy the opportunity to purchase Trenitalia-Frecciarossa train tickets under advantageous conditions through the following offers valid until December 31, 2024:
- Extension of the “Special Events” offer with a dedicated code allowing the purchase of train tickets with discounts ranging from 20% to 80%, subject to conditions and availability. Tickets can be purchased on the website, Trenitalia App, at ticket counters, and authorized travel agencies and distributors abroad;
- Organization of trips for groups of at least 10 people on High-Speed trains with discounted fares up to 40%, purchasable through Frecciarossa Group Offices;
- Extension of the purchase of the “Trenitalia Pass” to Italians residing abroad registered with A.I.R.E.; the Pass is a multi-journey ticket valid on routes within Italy. The Pass can be purchased on the Trenitalia website, at ticket counters, travel agencies, and authorized foreign and Italian tour operators.
For all offers, under the defined conditions, it will be necessary to present, onboard the train, along with the travel ticket, a certificate of A.I.R.E. registration or residence issued by the relevant municipality or through digital identity (SPID, CIE, CNS, and eIDAS) accessing the link Certificates – National Registry (interno.it), and a valid identity document.
