International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Dodoma

Ambassador Marco Lombardi attended on 26 June 2021, the celebrations in Dodoma for the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. George Simbachawene was chairing the event. EU Ambassador Manfredo Fanti also attended. During his speech Lombardi stressed the importance of cooperation of Italy and Tanzania in the EU and UN frameworks against drug trafficking. He also mentioned the important role played by the Italian ‘Carabinieri’ in fighting international organized crime.
