Ambassador Marco Lombardi has presented on 10 May 2021, his Credential Letters to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, during a ceremony that due to the pandemic was simple and sober. President Hassan and Ambassador Lombardi agreed that there is a growing number of economic opportunities for Italian companies in this Country. President Hassan stressed the effort of the new Administration for a better business environment in Tanzania.
Lombardi underlined the importance that Italy attaches to the relationship with Africa, in particular to Tanzania; the Eastern Africa gateway.
Both parties agreed on the importance of cultural and people to people cooperation.
The ceremony that has been held one month since the starting of the new Hassan Administration, represents a concrete sign of the importance of Italian and Tanzanian bilateral relations.
