In a very friendly atmosphere, the Ambassador-Designate of Italy, Marco Lombardi, presented yesterday copies of the Credential Letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and of the East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Ambassador Liberata Rutageruka Mulamula. During the meeting, it was stressed the importance of further improving Italy and Tanzania ties. The idea of a ‘Business Forum’ was launched. The aim of this initiative is to contribute to the increase of economic cooperation between Italian and Tanzanian Companies. H.E. Mulamula underlined that the geographical position of Tanzania is strategical and is giving access to a 500 million consumer market. The Minister expressed grateful words for the programs of the Italian Government in Tanzania. A warm thanks also to the activities of Italian Missionaries and NGOs in supporting this Country. The meeting ended with the common hope that Italian tourists will soon be back to Tanzania.
