Study in Italy

Studying in Italy is a dream for many students around the world. Each year, the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) publishes the regulations for the admission of international students to university programmes. The Consular Office of the Embassy is available to provide you with all the necessary assistance for administrative requirements.

Please note that if your period of study in Italy exceeds 90 days, you will need an entry visa. You can request an appointment by sending an email to: cons.dar@esteri.it.

  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers scholarships in favour of foreign students and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the 2026-2027 academic year, in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote the Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (According to the Italian law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).

    Scholarships are available for attending academic courses on the Italian territory only.
