on the attempt on the life of the Honourable Tundu Antiphas Mughwai Lissu, Member of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania for Singida East
The Delegation of the European Union issues the following statement in agreement with the Heads of Mission of the Member States of the European Union in Tanzania.
“The Delegation of the European Union in Tanzania joins the Government of Tanzania, Parliament and Civil Society in strongly condemning the attempt on the life of the Honourable Tundu Antiphas Mughwai Lissu, Member of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania for Singida East.
The Delegation of the European Union in Tanzania calls upon the authorities to bring swiftly to justice those responsible for this unwarranted attack against democracy.
The Delegation of the European Union in Tanzania offers heartfelt thoughts for the family of the Honourable Member of Parliament and prayers for his swift and full recovery.”
