Temporary Suspension of the VIS IT System
for the Processing and Issuance of Entry Visas
Please be informed that the VIS IT system will undergo a temporary suspension of operations until 18 February 2026.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention which will result in the temporary suspension of activities related to the receipt and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas. The suspension will affect the operations of the Visa Office of the Embassy of Italy in Dar es Salaam.
In order to minimize inconvenience to applicants, appointments already scheduled will be rescheduled to dates immediately before or after the period concerned by the suspension, giving due consideration to priority needs and urgent cases.
